The Media Council of Tanzania (MCT) Programme Strategy extending from 2012 to 2015 has na explicit component on research, policy analysis and documentation.
MCT saw this programme area as an important activity that would bring about research-based results for enlightening the public on critical media subjects such as policy and laws and their impact on the freedom of expression as a basic human right.
