Three new members join MCT Board

Three new members have joined the Governing Board of the Media Council of Tanzania.

They are Ali Mwadini, Dr. Rose Reuben and Sofia Komba.

MCT President and Chairperson of the Governing Board, retired Judge Juxon Mlay was re-elected during the National General Convention (NGC) of the Council held in Arusha on September 28, 2023.

Yussuf Khamis Yussuf – the Vice President of the Council was re-elected as well as four other Board members – Tido Mhando, Joyce Bazira, Happiness Nkya and retired Judge Robert Makaramba.

Long serving Executive Secretary of the Council, Kajubi Mukajanga, announced during the NGC that he is retiring in December, this year.

MCT President Mlay announced that Ernest Sungura will take over as the new Executive Secretary of the Council.
